Question Gas efficient?

Hey, i have a serious problem....Ive been looking to buy a new car..and i cant set my mind straight. I've been toying with the idea of a wrx, 00-02 but from what i hear there not very gas efficient. 18 to 20 miles on the highway....And im not sure the performance is worth all that gas, with the way prices are right now. As opposed to a prelude,or a eclipse, or the other generic bad ass tuners. Whats up? Anyone know?

Why don't you do a search instead of letting the "crap I heard" dictate your decision in buying a car. 18-20 miles HWY is a load of crap. I bet some ricer Hondaboy told you so to sway you out of buying a real car. Go to Yahoo or google and do a search, I found it in less than 5 seconds. I can tell you the answer but that's too easy.

If you find a 2000 WRX, please let me know, I really would love to find a 2000 model in a WRX

You think a Prelude or an Eclipse are badass? Perhaps you should stay away from the WRX then, it's performance is more in the region of Supercar when compared to those.

And as Keita said, do some research.

You can even go off the mileage figures for the 2006 WRX are pretty close to those of the previous years.

If you are thinking of mod'ing it as well, start with a programebal ECU and set one program for economic cruising. You may easely reduce the consumtion to half of what it burns in stock condition.
