Hey, i have a serious problem....Ive been looking to buy a new car..and i cant set my mind straight. I've been toying with the idea of a wrx, 00-02 but from what i hear there not very gas efficient. 18 to 20 miles on the highway....And im not sure the performance is worth all that gas, with the way prices are right now. As opposed to a prelude,or a eclipse, or the other generic bad ass tuners. Whats up? Anyone know?

You think a Prelude or an Eclipse are badass? Perhaps you should stay away from the WRX then, it's performance is more in the region of Supercar when compared to those. And as Keita said, do some research. You can even go off the mileage figures for the 2006 WRX are pretty close to those of the previous years.

If you are thinking of mod'ing it as well, start with a programebal ECU and set one program for economic cruising. You may easely reduce the consumtion to half of what it burns in stock condition.
