Re: dim headlight on 99 ram

you have a bad chassis ground on the headlight look for a pig tail ground wire from the headlight to the chassis i bet it broke or is corroded/bad connection. Usuall the wire will have a lug on it and screwed to the radiator support or some part of the chassis ground. Good luck.

Re: dim headlight on 99 ram

might of gotten the wrong wire to ground. Should be a wire going to the ground by a pig tail with a lug like i said Try to look real good FOR THE WIRES TO THE CHASSIS. The wire you grounded might be from relay that controls that headlight a wire befor the relay. Try to get awiring schematic for the headlight wiring and you should see the ground wires fir the headlight wiring. I had a problem yrs ago on my 1969 GTO that only one head light lit dim had to remove the bumper to get to the groung wire and low and behold a corroded lug from the one headlight that was bad.
Well good luck and look good and hard for that wire.
