Cool New tires

Hey guys, I need new tires on my tib something fierce - running near bald. I finally saved up enough money and just in time too no doubt. My neighbor owns a repair shop and does most of my car work, and he told me I needed to keep the tires I have on the car now, which are Dunlop SP Sport 9000 (215/45ZR17). The only problem is that 4 of those tires will run me around $500. I can afford it but it would drain me dry. Are there any cheaper tires out there that I can put on?

Re: New tires

do you need an all season tire?

if not, i would reccomend fuzion ZRi tires. its an offshot brand of bridgestone/firestone, supposed to be aimed at the tuner market.

if so, i would check out the avon tech ultra high performance all season tires. cheap, and they get good reviews.

Re: New tires

thx tibby - where should I go to look for these tires? Anyone else have any suggestions? And yea - since this is my only car I'll be wanting all season tires - at least until I can afford new rims/tires I can swap out during the winter

Re: New tires

go to tirerack to do some researching. click on tests and stuff like that for whatever size tire you are going to get. then use froogle to find the best price.
