Question "O/D Off" warning light

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than I can help me out with this one...

Everyone is familiar with the "warning light" that comes on when you depress the O/D switch on the shift knob...yesterday, mine began blinking. It only occures when traveling speed reaches 60mph. Below 60mph, and everything works just fine. Why am I blinking?!?!?!?! Thanks for your time

Re: "O/D Off" warning light

A flashing OD OFF light indicates your transmission did something the computer did not expect. To find out what it did, simply download the codes (borrow a reader from nearest Autozone). Unfortunately this is usually not a good sign.
