blower moter - all or nothing

On the `98 Taurus I recently picked up, the blower moter only works on high. Ironically (or maybe not?), the windshield wipers are the same - all or nothing! Also, the dome light stays on - until it finally goes off (synchronizing with the door ajar on panel). Any clues out there?

Blower is probably the blower resistor, dome light is a door switch hanging, wipers, more than likely, the multi-function switch on column.
