His 96 GS-T was a WARRIOR. It braved late oil changes, stop-n-go pizza delivery abuse, repeated vandalizing, and ofcourse, last but not least, my friend himself.
It was still running pretty decent at 170,000 miles (he got the car at 60K miles), with the stock engine, stock turbo and stock tranny. So, he thought he'd get out while the going was good. He sold his car for $3200, And the same day, he got this one below for $2800!!!!!! He says it's better than it looks in the pics, and everything's working perfect, the guy was leaving the country and needed to get rid of it ASAP: http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/104583295.html Ya guys like ?

Looks fairly clean, but no turbo? Thats a heavy car, and its going to be slow. Is he going to do anything to it?

Re: My friend just sold his 96 GS-T and got THIS...
Ahh...I was expecting the "its not a VR-4" line. But for $2800, to ask for more just isnt right.
He told me it was pretty fast for a an NT...it is a 3.0 V6 after all, 5-speed. The weight difference stuff, guys, pu'leaze. Have any of you driven an SL 3000GT? He's saying it feels faster than his eclipse was and is a lot of fun to drive. |

Re: My friend just sold his 96 GS-T and got THIS...
i can bet, it's as fast or maybe faster than the OLD stock gs-t he used to have. He will be more than happy with that car, and i always thought that a v6 have more potential that a 4cyl.

I think that can be if his car was already warmed up after a run, and put the key in the "on" position... temkp shows but there's no oil pressure. I think...not sure. |

For $2,800, that's a nice ass car. I was lookin at a '92 VR4 this weekend, the guy wanted $9k for it. I was dissapointed, he wouldn't go down at all.....booked the car for $7k.

Re: My friend just sold his 96 GS-T and got THIS...
When my friend went to negotiate, the owner said "I have the car for sale for $3500. I am going to offer you one low price, take it or leave it. $2800 out-the-door."
The car has a really sweet Sony system in it, with subs, 2 amps, and everything. It's got a short shifter too. I don't think he couldve gotten anything better for the money he spent. He says all electrical stuff inside works, car drives perfect, passed smog in front of him, interior is clean, etc. Even old VR-4s on the other hand, in decent condition, would run you around $8000 here in CA. I don't know about you guys, but after blowing 2 turbos, I' rather have an NT as a daily commuter than a turbo car. |

Re: My friend just sold his 96 GS-T and got THIS...
Yeah I think that is a good car for the money. Before I bought my car I test drove a 94 3000gt SL. It had leather, a sun roof, only 80,000 miles, and was in a rare pale yellow color. The only thing about it was that is was an automatic. By the way, the car wasn't slow. I didnt get down on it too hard....I only went up to 80. lol
Nice cars though

If that 3000gt has a good title. I would consider that a steal.
