Question 1976 celica ignition

Just bought a nice little GT which hadn't been driven much to speak of in a couple of years. Replaced the plug wires, distributor cap, rotor and points and now I am getting no spark from the coil. The coil resistance meters fine and I am getting voltage to the coil. I suspect the igniter.

Is there an ignition system that can be installed in place of the original that will be cheaper to maintain since it looks like I may be spending several hundred more dollars anyway?
