2001 passat problems

1st i'd like to say how much this car is a piece of junk....well anyway...my girlfriends car is idling real rough when the car is stopped (idle bogs up and down and feels like its gonna stall)....the dealership has cleaned the throttle body a couple times now.... and they said its time to replace it...they're gonna charge her $860...is this a normal price?...exactly how hard is it to replace?...im mechanical ...i would like to do it to save some money....thank you

4 6mm bolts after removing the intake pipe and you're set.. maybe 20min of work. + a new gasket of course and scraping the old on off.

turns out it somehow its under warranty....it has 70,000 miles on it....dont get it
