Engine Swap -Help plz before i do something dumb lol-
I got a 95 z24 2.3quad 4 cavalier, engine is done,knocking to bad,spun a barring,i can get a 97 2.2 cavalier for $300,the hole car engine is perfect,just its wrecked in the front.I've been looking for a 2.3 for a long time and found nothing, so im wondering can u put a 2.2 in it?What all would i need to do and have?

Ok, not sure what you are talking about, I dont think the z24 ever came with the 2.3 quad 4 but then again, I dont know/care much. Either way, swapping a 2.2 OHV into a 2.4 isnt going to easy or fun. The exhaust is bumper side on the 2.2 and firewall side ont the 2.4 so you will have to do a lot of fuckin around. I would either get a new engine like whats already in there, or get a new car.

i guess the engine that is in there is a salvage engine,becuz it says 2.3 quad 4 on the cover. I'm tryin to find a 2.3 or 2.4 no luck yet,guess i wont get that car then =/ ty thor
