Re: Supra vs Eclipse

That really did not look like an Eclipse...I think it was an Integra...could be mistaken.

And what you mean how did he do that? mods duh....not to mention the Supra was N/A...meaning no turbo's ---> no get-up-and-go 13 second 1/4 mile.

Re: Supra vs Eclipse

ok after reviewing it several times...I can't be mistaken...that's an Integra...a pretty quick one too, sounds aspirated.

Ruick look at the guy above you, crunchymilk55. He has a DSM. He beat a 400 hp Ellis Juan, which means hes in the 12's. Think before you post

Re: Supra vs Eclipse

14.093 for the 'teg - a slightly modded Type R should be able to do that easily, not that surprising with a good launch (and this guy took the holeshot big time).

14.713 for the Supra, pretty quick considering he bogged the launch. Not really too surprising here either - shouldn't an n/a Supra be somewhere near the 15's? ...and if it was lightly modded I'd put it in the mid 14's.

14.7 for n/a Supra is close to stock if i'm not mistaken...

A Type-R can hit 13's without turbo/supercharging? That'd be the first i've heard of that...you can hear a BOV in the video, and it sure wasn't the Supra with that time.

I was hitting high 13's with my rex after the b16 swap. Just the usual bolt ons and tuned by a dude who really knows his sh*t. A Type R cam would have put me closer to mid 13's.

Re: Supra vs Eclipse

I have a buddy with a 2nd gen teg, LS engine b18...he got headwork (port/polish, larger valves), full exhaust, cams (i believe)...and he claims he ran 13.2 the other week....I dont think it's possible, is it?

Agreed...I've walked away from swapped B16 rex's before, albeit slowly, and my car couldn't hit 13s if it was God's will...So your guy must have a Ph.D in quantam mechanics and your rex most be completely stripped down to the bare metal everywhere, or I'm not buying it.
