Those look real nice. I would get something similar if i was looking into rims for the 3k i have yet to own :P With the gunmetal and poslished edge it'll have a tunerish kindof edge to it.
Those 446s look nice too but they are a different style entirely than the 447s. |

Re: HRE wheels...what do you think?
damn I hate gunmetal....
but I have to admit it does look good w/ the polished lip on some cars. I think that design is horrible, maybe cuz we sell that same design at pep boys and thats all everyone gets for their pos's...personally i'd go with either the 845 design or the 540.

Re: HRE wheels...what do you think?
They are ok looking... but are they quality? These are the rims i am geting. they should be here in week. they are VOLKS GT-Cs 18x9 inches in Diamond Black. VOLKS are forged wheels and weigh almost nothing, these around 18lbs a peice...
they are very hard to bend and scratch considering they are forged and plus the weight on them is a great drop from stocks... so 50lbs off the rotateing mass is great improvement. VOLKS is widely known for their racing wheels. VOLK and BBS are the leading wheel industrys. But as for these wheels, the retail on them are about $2500 for the set. but i got them for $1800 (good freinds with a distributer) just saying if you want the best this brand is it. but i do understand that most cant afford the best. I have never heard of this HRE brand so i cant really supply info about their rims... but if they are no forged and made for looks then they are heavy and weak...

Re: HRE wheels...what do you think?
no arguments with you, if i had the cash i would definately go with the volks. Those are amazing wheels. I wanna get out under 1500 including tires.
I wasnt familiar with HRE either until a few weeks ago. I would like to think theyre good quality, since all the cars on their fitment list are very high end sports cars (Viper, Lambo, Ferarri, porsche, etc) but PLEASE, if anyone has experiance with HRE, let me know! |

Re: HRE wheels...what do you think?
My wheels are cast and only weight in 1lb lighter than their forged version, and are $300 less each. But yes they are weaker also.

Re: HRE wheels...what do you think?
the 540s are nice, but im not really crazy about the "BBS" style...hides too much of the calipers (which i plan to paint)
