I'd say probably 5-8.

Re: How much gain?

full exhaust wont get you 15 HP, full exhaust will get you 8-10HP at most. The header will get you about 5-7HP. The most restrictive part of our exhaust is the header, its designed to restrict air flow to heat the 02 sensor up faster, the rest isnt to bad.

Re: How much gain?

^^ All cars act to mods differently, which i know you know for a fact.... Someone on JBo threw up a post of his dyno results a while back of before full exhaust and just an intake and then afterwards Pacesetter with 2.25 all the way back..His numbers showed an Increase of 14 hp. I am pretty sure it was DaflyinSkwrl who's is was...

Re: How much gain?

in case you dont know, dyno numbers are 100%, they can be off by 3-5HP easily. Trust me, Flyingsquirl on jbody.org has full exhaust, intake, pullies, ported head, and he got 15 HP. No way in hell your getting 15 HP on a cavalier with a full exhaust.

Re: How much gain?

not it cant, but hey, you guys go ahead and believe your ricer dreams. Full exhaust on a stock engine cavalier will hardly be a noticeable gain, you will notice a little up top, but thats it. No where near 15 HP.

Re: How much gain?

on an engine that comes stock with 115 its gonna be a decent increase, if you were to say a car that comes stock with like 150 (Z24) then i would agree with you..but on a 2.2 a full exhuast is gonna jump it up about that much seeing as how everything they put on out cars in the factory is nothing but shit basic parts..you replace the full exhuast on a 2.2 that comes with 2 inch piping and a cheap restricting 4-1 header with a cat that has a history of clogging and a muffler thats 2 sizes 2 big...replace it with a high flow 4-1 header,2.5' piping, high flow cat, high flow muffler...you will get a good gain..yes i know that these cars breathe good already but they breathe good considering there setup..all we would be doing by adding the full exhuast is unleashing the power that should have been there already

Re: How much gain?

what you think cuz you added a supercharger to you car that your an expert ?
have you ever taken a poll of lets say at least 30 cavaliers that have gotten a full exhuast done then dynoed and the result compared to the before numbers writen down ?
do you have results and fact to back up your theory that its impossible for those kinds of gains on out cars ?

Re: How much gain?

i dont believe you, but like i said believe what you want. If you think you got an 11% increase in engine HP by doing exhaust, by all means go ahead. And incase you dont know, its not uncommon for dynos to be off.

Ill tell you what, you show me a before and after dyno charts and ill accept your 13 HP.
