1985 F150 stalls instantly

1985 ford pickup 300 in-line 6 cyl. starts and runs just fine but when you are going along sometimes it cuts out and dies. when it dies it is hard to start again and if it does start will not stay running long until it cools down and start over. new distributor cap, rotor cap, wires, plugs, ignition module, and rebuilt carb, however i rebuilt the carb myself and cannot guarantee it is perfect.

Check your fuel pressure, your alternator, and your battery voltage when cranking.

Try heating the ignition control module with a hair dryer while it is running. I'll bet you it will die on you. The module is mounted on the inner fender well, and is approximately 5x5 inches square. It should also have two plugs that hook to the wiring loom. They fail frequently, and are not too expensive.
