Question

blazer died and won't start

I have a 99 Blazer - while driving the dash board light went off & on and then the blazer died and would not re start- lifted the hood to find the "brain" was very very hot - I had a mechanic come & he could not figure out the problem - new "brain" put on & now it will turn over but will not start - Please help!!
