1999 Jimmy/Blazer front end pull

I am having some issues with my 1999 Jimmy front end. The truck is pulling hard to the right.(passenger direction). I have jacked the truck up by the control arms and tested the wheel play. Niether side has play in the 12:00/6:00 position. The pasenger side 3:00/9:00 is good as well. However I do have play on the driver side 3:00/9:00 position. What is the best way to narrow it down to what part is failing? I read on the message board if it has play in the 3:00/9:00 positon then it is can be 1 of 3 things, pitman arm, idler arm, or tierods. My question is how do I know which one of these is bad. I have posted in the Blazer forum becuase I believe these trucks are identical and the blazer forum seems to be more active. Thanks in advance!

probably whatever is the failing part, you are probably going to have to get an alignment afterwards so why not just go get an alignment and Im sure the technicians will find out what is wrong and that would narrow it down for yo, but that play you were talking about in the 3:00-9:00, i also had some of that and it ended up that my wheel bearing was shot, so check that too, thanks!

Yes, If your not sure what parts is defective. Just take it in to the shop and have them look at it and tell you what needs to be replaced. Sears will do that for free. Then you can go home and replace the parts yourself. Its a hell of a lot cheaper. But remember you'll still have to get a frontend alignment after you replace all the parts.

Also check for a possible sticky front disc brake caliper, this problem is also known for the wheel to pull to one side.

new noise on passenger side front

Last night I just found out that the passenger side front wheel is making a squeaking noise when it bounces. If this further narrows down the possibilities it would be nice. I am going to start by pulling the passenger side front wheel this weekend. If I cant find anything obvious I will take it to a front end shop for an assessment.
