Nice BOV!!

I'm dying to get a BOV for my talon tsi with the "whoosh" sound. I've been shopping around for something inexpensive but nothing really pops out. I've seen BOVs on eBay for cheap but I don't know about the quality? Any suggestions?

When it comes to car parts, the cheapest is 99.9% NEVER the best. Do not buy those ebay blow off valves unless you are bidding on an actual, not knock-off, bov from the major companies like Greddy, Apexi, Tial, TurboXS, Blitz, HKS.

If you want a "whooosh" sound, I would say go for the Greddy Type RS with the recirculation fitting.

http://www.extremepsi.com/store/cust...cat=403&page=1 <- Greddy Type RS kit with recirculation fitting - $199 shipped.

Re: Nice BOV!!

HKS SSQV. It's expensive but it's so loud it scares people walking on the side of the street. I set a car alarm off on a narrow street with buildings on both sides. Highlight of my life.

Re: Nice BOV!!

I got the HKS to, and yes, it does set off car alarms...if that's what you're looking to do. Also it makes people ears ring who are in cars next to you...at least that's what the girl told me..

Re: Nice BOV!!

With the HKS SSQV, does that recirculate? So, if you want the SSQV You have to have a MAFT setup to avoid idle problems?

If you have IC piping, and a good intake you can def. hear the 1g. No, it probably won't be as loud as the HKS, but for the money you can't beat it. You can hear it inside the car damn well...even louder outside the car.

Re: Nice BOV!!

Some people have a problem with atmosphere vent, some don't. I never had a problem with mine dying but I have seen some with problems. Also, my life goal is to either make a little kid fall off their bike or to kill an old person with my BOV so it's important for mine to be as loud as possible.

LOL that would be great.

Lately, I've been getting out of my college classes and driving down the road to my house at the same time that the middle school busses drop kids off. I've gotten a lot of weird looks and sharp head turns to see what that loud chirp noise was hehe.
