need help with beetle 1999

good evening everyone, i am having trouble finding the transmission. do anyone know where the tranmission is at>? any websites to help me or tell what it is by?

my cd also doesnt work it plays once in a while and then it wont play...... i need help? i just got this car and it my new car i always drove a honda.

can you guys tell me , do you always have to go the dealer???? for help
