Tachs.

Okay so I want to install an aftermarket Tach into my 86, I tried with just some 30dollar one from an Auto Parts place to see if it would work and on 4 Cylinder setting it is too fast, on a 6 Cylinder setting it is too slow...

Is there a certain Tach out there for the Rotary? Or Am I shit out of luck?

Re: Tachs.

Drftkid, took your advice, canceled order on my set of APC's looking for Sparco now, but no one in town can get me a price.

The reason I am wanting to redo my gauge cluster is cause as it sits, I see the 2 and the 8 on my tach, and I don't like that. So I am redesignin it, yet I don't know what I want to use. IE Fiberglass, Wood, Metal. That type of deal, prolly do it outta fiberglass.

I see 2000rpm and I see 8000RPM, that's why I am redoing the gauge cluster, I like to know how fast she's spinning as that's what I use to determine my speed. The way I sit in the car all I can see is the 2000 and 8000 rpm. it's odd.

Re: Tachs.

There is a simple way to fix that.
Put your seat in an uprite position. That way you can see the guages and dont look like a little thugger. :P

I cannot stand sitting fully upright. Look like a little thugger? No that would be my buddy. Not me. I just roll with what feels comfortable. And is practical.

Re: Tachs.

wtf?

when i was driving my fc i cold see the whole rpm range...

you seating position is too reclined (you will probably hate racing seats). try driving upright for a while (or mostly upright), dont complain, just try it.

Re: Tachs.

lol, I did, and it's not too bad, but it's not really really comfortable. So I have to get used to it. I guess.
