Does anyone else out there get the cold shoulder at 4-WHEEL PARTS stores ? Do you feel like YOU the customer are seen as being stupid, and was born ONLY JUST yesterday ? I buy things in those stores but, only because it's handy or the price is right, never because I've been treated with respect or have much confidence in the BS I just had to swallow. I purchased a TJ Wrangler 4" Pro Comp Lift from them that was supplied ~without~ the Adjustable Track Bar the listing said was included. When I asked about the Track Bar I was told I didn't need it as there was some kind of Link Bars to take its place. I installed the Lift and it worked fine, ON THE STREET, but as soon as you GO OFF ROAD and work the suspension the steering stabilizer comes up and SMACKS the S--T out of these LINK BARS that are used in place of the ADJ. TRACK BAR. Now I have to buy a $200 TRACK BAR THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED ! I won't be buying it from 4-WHEEL PARTS or anything else again ! |

Re: 4-WHEEL PARTS store DENVER
The one off I-70 & Peoria? They can only keep help around for a year or so it seems, then new faces appear. The guys at the counter can be snobbish. Got to remeber that these guys have good lookin' Fords and Jeeps that never see the off road. They get expensive parts a lot cheaper for their rigs and expect everyone else to buy the stuff they put on, at full retail. They have also had problems in the install department. I know of 2 people I wheel with that had bad differential gear setups and had to get the work repeated.
A lot a sloppy work went out of that shop over the last year. Heard that from a Nissan tech that they hired on. Made him an offer he couldn't refuse he said. |
