transmission
I have a 99 burb with about 128000 miles. Lately I will be going down the road and between 1500 and 2000 rpms if I keep it steady, it will start to stutter from held rs to about 2000 rs higher and back down again. The stutter goes real fast but vry noticeable. and you can see the tack shifting at the same time. I am going to give it some new fluid and filter, but wanted to know if this is a normal problem. I just got the truck so I dont know if the fluid has been changed before.
Thanks |

Re: transmission
This stutter could just as easily be a slight engine miss, hard to tell, have it scanned on a trans capable scanner for trans codes to confirm whether the trans may be at fault here.

Re: transmission
Misprint, it only stutters about 200 rpms and back.

Re: transmission
Torque converter shudder can be caused by a worn out TCC Apply Valve or TCC Regulator Valve.

Re: transmission
Figured it out. It was the torque convertor brake control switch. Replacing that also fixed my cruise control which wasn't working!
