Re: hesitation when accelerating

Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Fuel pressure regulator maybe... Could be a lot of things. Did you do the plugs and wires?

I see from your profile it's a 1999 I'm assuming 3.8L V6? Always try to give year and engine information if you can helps us help you...

Re: hesitation when accelerating

I don't know that it would be a coil pack, I'm not even sure what kind of ignition is on the 3.8's though so maybe. But usually a spark problem will cause a miss or cause the car not to run at all, and I would assume if it's a coil pack or ignition module it would just stop running when the ignition stuff gets hot.

I meant did yo do the plugs and wires yourself, sorry I wasn't very clear with my question... I was thinking maybe a bad connection somewhere between the coil and the plug, or maybe incorrect gap...

Re: Re: hesitation when accelerating

I spoke with the mechanic that did the wires and plugs, he said that a camero came in friday with the same problem and the computer read out #5 cylinder and he changed the coil pack and it is running good so I told him I would like the filter changed and all wires and plugs checked and put on a coil pack. If that dosnt work we will do something else. Thank you so much will let you know how it comes out.
