New tranny, same problems?

Ok i just got my car back from having the transmission rebuilt. I noticed that there is a HUGE delay sometimes when shifting from Park to Reverse, and I also noticed once that it shuddered like it did a long time ago before the tranny went. I've only had the car back for one day, and i'm going to call the place that rebuilt it on monday. My question is do I have any legal rights? Should they fix it for free?

I would say yes. See if they had added lubegard, and if not, add it yourself. A rebuilt tranny should work like new from day one.

Most if not all shops give some type of warranty on their work. If a chain did the work for you then you should have at least a 1 year warranty. If not take the car back and tell them that the problem has not changed and they need to redo their work. You do have a legal right since they provided a service to you, for which you paid a significant amount of money therefore they are obligated to correct the problem.
