Crx w teg motor idles at 4000rpms?
i juss put another motor into my rex and its idleing at 4000 rpm and dnt know why. vacuum lines are in right place so if anyone has answers please let me know. thanks

Does it jump in idle or just hold at 4000rpm.You might have a leak on one of your gaskets.Hear is a mothod i used to check for leaks.Spray some wd-40 around your intake manifold gasket and also around your Throttle body gasket.Alot of times if there was any dirt or the gasket didn't sit flat you would run a leak and idle rough.

once i turn it over it jumps up to 4000 and idles their then bout 20 secs later itll jump up to 6000 rpms and stay there. the check engine lite is off while it idles at 4000 but once it kicks on it jumps rite up to 6000. I fgot to hook up my o2 sensor so i thought maybe thats what it was so i hooked it up and still nothing would i have to unhook the batt and reset the comp for it to read the o2 sensor? if this dont work what would you do i cant figure it out.

did you tie the throttle cable around something by accident?? Maybe its pinched.....idk!
