EverStart Batterys they are junk?
okay i got my car started finally by getting a new battery it started my car one time.... so again i was having battery issues now then i turn the switch it says my battery got 4 volts... then when i go to start it ...it go's to empty..... is it my car or is the 29.99$ cheap battery from walmart a junker?

My friends DSM has an Ever Start from Wal-Mart, it works great. Then again we only have had it in for like a month and a half and its only been daily driven for about two weeks. I dont think it had any charge when we got it, it needed to be charged first.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

I got everstart on nearly everything I own. Even the lawnmower. They tend to do pretty well for the first two years, and then they go to shit. Thats OK though, because it's satisfaction guaranteed. I usually take it back the first time it goes dead, and get another one on Walmart

when i got my everstart it only had 6 volts in it..... then i charged it till it was at 12 volts.....then as soon as i went to turn my key to turn the motor over it went down to 4 volts....... is my battery junk?

How long did you charge it for? If you have a shitty charger, it may not have charged all the way. Mike had a really shitty charger so what we did was jump his car and just let it charge itself. I wouldnt give up on it yet, I'd jump it and taking it for a good 15 min drive, then see if it will start by itself.
