studdering

When i lightly step on the accelerator the car shudders and i have to let go then do it again. Could it be dirty fuel injectors?

also another problem is that when i stop at a light or im at a stop and i accelerate it doesnt seem like enough power behind the engine. it takes a while for me to get up to speed. thx

What year is your car and mileage?. Sounds like the transaxle (transmission). Did you change the transmission fluid just before this happened?. On a different car I changed transmission fluid on high mileage car and it screwed up the transmission. My old other car shuddered violently after fluid change.

Re: studdering

Its a 93 and has around 136k on it. i didnt change the fluids yet because im getting my gaskets changed and then i was planning on changing the fluids. My emissions are too high i know that and my sister told me there is a sensor there and if they are way too high the engine hesitate. im not too sure about that though. i just bought the car like 3 months ago and b4 that it was sitting for maybe 6 and ive only been driving it for about 1. but its been doing it less the more i drive...so i dont know
