1997 Dodge ram 1500 5.9 FIRE

FYI Recent engine FIRE, total loss of vehicle; Engine light came on, possible fuel system defect, Fire ensued on right side of engine compartment. Hood release broke, became fully engulfed shortly.

Check fuel system and transmission cooler lines.

Vehicle had 197K miles

Damn, sorry to hear.....did you say fuel system problem? I haven't heard of a recall on that vehicle.....

(But...on the good side, time for a newer Dodge!)
