engine codes

Hi, I have two engine codes for my saturn sc1 code #32 (EGR system problem) and #53 (info flag-ESC exceed max value)
Can anyone tell me what this means and if it is serious. Is it something I could repair myself?
Thanks!!!

Re: engine codes

Go to any parts store, buy a new EGR valve and put it in. You will need a socket set, they're held in by two bolts. No, your engine won't explode. It just effects performance.

Re: engine codes

the ESC problem MAY be caused by the EGR. sometimes removing the EGR and cleaning it will solve the problem, but a new gasket will still be needed
