opinions on mods and Strut questions-long post
well, I've had my '90 for a couple months now, and love it. I've owned an '88 convertable in the past and loved that too, but performance-wise, this '90 is fantastic. Flys up and over 100 beautifully, with no shaking/shimying or loose feeling. Very tight old car!
I've fixed all the stupid things myself that weren't working when I bought it- put in a sunroof motor, rear wiper motor, soldered the rear defrost ground, power antenna, replaced washer motor, new fan thermostat and control, and a few other things that slip my mind right now. I've installed 17" Scion wheels and new tires. (great ebay deal w/free shipping) Put in a TWM Short Shifter and weighted Greddy knob. K&N Cone Filter (cause I like the sucking sound, not because I think it'll really matter). Installed a GT-S dash gauge pod with the 150mph speedo and volt meter. Cause I could. lol Dick Cepek Ion Dichroic Fog Lights- very nice, and they've gotten a lot of use with all the crappy weather here lately. So my question is this: STRUTS- what kind, and where do I find them Online for the best price? Also- anti-sway bars. what brands, and where? I've read here that Koni are recomended over KYB, but I don't know much about Koni. And haven't seen Koni REAR struts for sale on any websites- just the fronts. Here is what I want: great cornering, and firm ride. The way it is now is pretty good, but I know it can be better. I have no desire to lower it, or do any other ricy stuff. (no offense to the ricers here-lol) I'm not going to race it against anyone but the other dingbats trying to make me late for work in the morning. Its already fast...I supply the furious. Thanks guys! |

Re: opinions on mods and Strut questions-long post
Kyb gas shocks and for mild street use eiback springs....absolutly no point in buying coilovers, there a wast of 1,100+ unless your into some serious racing
lowering it reduces the center of gravity and improves handeling...no one really sels sway bars and etc for our cars, get polyurathane bushings and try to find an all track lower sway bars becuase there bigger 22mm as opposed to 20mm gt/s and 18mm st's
