Re: motor going in the maro

Damn that looks a hell of a lot better for 500 bucks than the one my friend bought four 500bucks (82 Z28 5spd, 305, and rust on every pannel) That body looks to be in pretty good shape. Good find

thanks.yeah the body is completely straight. in the side view the back end looks to be beat up, but its just shadows. i need to take some better pics. didnt find any rust, and it has original paint so that lets me know that there shouldnt be any bondo. i havent really messed with the car, just mainly focusing on the motor right now but im pretty much done with that so time to move to the body. i need to rip out the tranny and see if a 90 degree bellhousing will bolt up and see how good it runs with the 383 until i can get a bad ass tranny and rear end.

Nice. And I'm with Geno... They're all worth fixing up. But since you don't anything fancy to begin with... I'd go completely apeshit: nothing's safe to be ripped out and updated.

As far as a paint job... (I'm a true redneck at heart) get it all primered up and let it go... TRUE SLEEPER THERE.

Re: motor going in the maro

I agree, Primered cars look awsome. Hey Jim, ya got any more good stories about Earl? I've been kinda missing them, I still remember when you said he had a "loose" asshole and kept stinkin up the house, and you kept feeding him brusselsprouts. That had me laughing for along time.
