My 2002 Alero has 80K on it, and the rotors will not be able to be cut again when the time comes.
Who has suggestions as to what non stock rotors and pads, are the best, and is it a reasonable DIY job. This is not a high perf thing , just something better than the stock crap. Thanks |

Re: Brake Rotor Suggestions also is it a DIY Project
This is an easy job. If you want to stick with stock type rotors then purchase a better quality rotor from a local parts store. Raybestos and several other companies make good rotors that are OEM type. There are also rotors that are brand name from the parts companies that are very good as well. Don't skimp on the cost, since you will find the more expensive rotors will be made better and will hold up longer.
As for pads there are a lot of good ones. Performance friction carbon metallic are good, as are Raybestos pads with DH3A additive. If you want low dust pads for good stopping power then go with ceramic pads. The last a long time and will give you very good stopping power. |
