I'm new to the forum, but I have been reading multiple threads and posts for a while. I have a '99 A4 2.8 Quattro. I noticed everytime it rains pretty good, the floor of my trunk gets wet. It recently rained the whole weekend and when I pulled my car into the garage, I inspected the compartment where the spare is kept and noticed a puddle of water laying around the tire. Anyone have any idea where this leak is coming from 'cause I have no idea? I tired of having to soak the water up with old towels . Thanks in advance.

maybe it leaking there...check the rubbers.

Anyways,
2 solutions,

One; simple cure till you resolve the leak, there are little rubber gromet in the spare tire area, pop it out so the water drains out before it builds up, and you have to swim for change in a drive through... lol

Second; find the culprut..., its either the trunk seal at the top, or a clogged sun roof drain, I believe there are 4 drain holes on the sun roof area. the rear one drains in to the trunk seam arou8nd the hinge at top left.
