the thermostat is probrally not opening up all the way and as a result your car overheats. you said you refilled the car with antifreeze and
soon after your car overheated for the second time.
unless the antifreeze leaked out after you replaced it the thermostat is probrally junk.You might of busted a radiator hose since you said antifreeze was all over the engine after the car overheated. good luck fixing your car.
