Question what do you think??

Its a draw foir me between the 2004 wrx. Not sti. and the 2004 pontiac grand prix GTP COmp G. I know ill probably have more fun with the wrx but the GTP seems for practical in the end. What do you guys think?

Re: what do you think??

wrx will be more reliable.
AWD vs. FWD
turbo vs. SC

I don't know what you are considering when you say the GTP would be more practical, but with better reliability, better handling, and a turbo which allows you the option of staying off boost to save fuel...I'd say the wrx is more practical. Just my .02

Subaru all the way. Especially if you are in a place with snowy winters. Plus just look at the amount of badassery the WRX has as opposed to the GTP..

Am I the only person who thinks this is ONE F***ED UP reason to buy a turbo-charged car??

If you're really worried about saving fuel...don't buy a high-performance car. Go buy a Prius or ride a bicycle.

Relaxe he is just asking a question.

Second seems like you answered your own question, you are leaning more towords the GTP. Also keep in mind your asking this question in a Subi forum were most of us own them so there will be a bit of bias here.
Go with the better deal if you concerned about money. The WRX is a fun car but if you wont utalize all of its potential then you might want to pass and purchase the cheaper GTP.

It's what happens when, instead of reading the WHOLE thread, people only respond to a post that catches their attention.....maybe if we put it in PS2 format or something, people would be able to pay attention longer?

Re: what do you think??

I saw a 2004 wrx the other day 12k miles for 20,000. You think i could get that down to 14 or 15 FINAL PRICE. as in with taxes and plates and all.

Even with such low miles, 20k is way overpriced. Trade-in value is 16k plus, retail 19k+, so you should be able to negotiate somewhere in between. Do your research and know what it's worth. Edmunds.com is a decent resource. I wouldn't take 14k or 15k for it, no way. Unless there are major flaws.

Re: what do you think??

Dude...I don't know. There are always "chances" to get whatever good deal that there could be.
