What car for donor 94 2.2L engine?

I bought a 94 Century with a badly blown engine. I pulled the L4 2.2L out today. I am going hunting at the local salvage yard in the morning, for a replacement engine.

What all cars and years will be a donor?

Tom

Well, I went to the local pullapart salvage yard this morning. They listed that an engine from:

Beretta 94-95
Cavalier 94-95
Century 94-95
Ciera 94-95
Corsica 94-95
Sunfire 95

I found several cars, most had the V6. The two that had the L4 2.2L, one had 207,000 miles on it and the other had 250,000 on it. I passed on both.

I was hoping to find something with lower miles, putting this car together as a back up for when my daughters ailing Honda final dies.

The search continues....

What all is involved changing over to the V6?

I would think:

Engine
Transmission
Computer
Wire harness
Fuel system?

What else?

Heck I bought a $100 car, I was hoping to find a $300 to $400 engine, and let it roll.

Today I went to pullapart, 11 possible cars, most had the V6, the two with 2.2, one had 250,000 the other 207,000.

I called the other local junk yards, guy told me he had one with 100,000 on it, I drove 45 minutes one way to find the engine in a car with 153,000 on the odometer, and he still wanted the same $400 for it. I passed, wasn't about to give my money to someone that lied to me BY 53% AT THAT!!

Options??????

Im not too sure about what all would need doing for the swap. I just know that even my 3.3V6 in mine cries for more power.

My 94 2.2L has 197K and still runs like new. It is smooth, easy on gas, does not use oil, and is cheap to repair. It is nice to know I can replace it for $400
