Bottom end

Hey
Iv been searching and not coming up with much!
Im starting to build a new motor for mt 92 TSI AWD. Im not sure what brand of bearings i should be using for the crank and rods. Some have told me to use factory parts others have said aftermarket. Im looking to build around 350-400 HP out of this motor so they have to be decent parts. Any opinions or part numbers would be great! Thanks

P.S. Also what kind of rings would you use!

Re: Bottom end

OEM factroy are fine. Molly or Clevitte's are the most popular.

Re: Bottom end

Stock internals can handle 450hp, if you don't believe me research the topic. There are turbo dsm's running 10's and better on stock internals. Concentrate on getting to that power range first w/ proper tuning before upgrading internals.

Re: Bottom end

Yeah i was thinkin stock internals would work since a guy i know is runnin 10s with stock internals. But i just needed some extra opinions. But take a look at these.

I duno if these are actually the right ones or not, but they are a hell of a lot cheaper than oem parts. But if i were to buy aftermarket parts what brand should i use and what do you think of these bearings?

Thanks!

Re: Bottom end

go w/ clevites or oem all the way. perfect circle or hastings chrome for the rings. oem/clevites are tried an true. go with whats been proven to work and last
