I try to do as much of the mods i can to my 86 camaro by myself. I was thinking about replacing the rear cargo area plastics because they are pretty scratched up and sun faded. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to remove those plastic pieces?? The plastics that cover the spare tire and hatch motor are easy enough, but what about the rest??? It's pobably something really easy but im asking anyway because im not for sure. Please give me any info you might have??? I appreciate it.

Re: interior rear cargo plastics????
I own an 87 and what I I noticed was that you have to remove what's connected to the top near t-tops(if you got em) AND the speaker panels/backseat interior the whole thing. If you're prepared to do that, there's a bunch of easy to pul plastic screws with retainer clips. other than that you have to pick up the hatch and remove the hatch struts.
Lemme get this straight though, you want to restore the back by buying new looking pieces that aren't sun faded. Curious, what color is your interior? I don't wanna sell anything just want to know. Good luck! |

Re: interior rear cargo plastics????
my interior is like a light tan, i dont know what they call it for sure but its not just sun faded, it looks like the people who owned it before me used the wrong thing to clean the plastics and fucked them all up, they look like crap, i was actually thinking about carpeting them but im not sure yet what im goin to do
