People are unsatisfied with their own lives so they watch people that they see on TV and live vicariously through them. Most people won't see the amount of money that one of those people have and they are curious about how they live with that amount of money and finacial freedom. And one other thing, many people like to hear crap about celebs so they realize that they're regular people too and they make mistakes....also there is a lot of jealousy in the world.

Personally i don't give a shit what happens to any of them, as long as Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Will Farrell, Vince Vaughan, and that team of actors/actresses keep makin hilarious movies like Wedding Crashers and Zoolander.

I don't care about celebs. Sure some are cool but they are still everyday people to me. For example actors/actresses get paid for acting well in movies. Myself on the other hand doesn't get paid for acting to like my job. I do it very well.....the working and the acting part.

Because everybody watchfilms and everybody listen to songs, therefore there will be a lot of fans who care about stuff like that, if nobody watch films, no channel will show news about celebs ..

Because everyone wants a taste of what's untouchable. Call me weird but I think society's caring about celebrities is what causes a lot of people to get into a lot of debt they shouldn't be in. Reality shows like MTV Cribs for example, gives us some exposure to how they live, people want that, and many will do what they can to get just a little taste.
