Dome light turning itself on and off
The speedo and dome light on my '97 Neon were acting up so I soldered the pin connections as described elsewhere on this great site. The speedo works but the dome light has decided to start flashing on and off when the car is shut off. About 3 seconds on and 3 seconds off. I seem to hear a corresponding click under the dash when this is going on. Any suggestions. Thanks.

You have a bad ground or an exposed wire under your dash. Get down there and start looking. Did you have an alarm or something else recently installed?
