tires
Has anyone ever heard of National Tires?
and if so are they any good?

Nope, never heard of them. How much do they cost? You get what you pay for, but I have some no name brand tires on my steelies that I got from my dads friends shop when they closed ($50 for the whole set
 ) and I havent had a problem since.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

they were $69 a piece at the garage i go to.he didn't have the tires i wanted so he gave me these in their place.so far so good but.........
never heard of them myself.

I've heard of them before. Not a major brand, more like a generic brand that discount tire shops sell for people who need tires but don't want to pay the name brand mark up. They are actually a private brand, which means that they distribute them themselves, but don't manufacture it themselves. The rely on other manufactures, such as BF Goodrich, Goodyear, etc to actually make them.
