Power Steering Switch
Hello to everyone, I have a 99 Intrepid with a 3.5 engine from a 00 intrepid R/T,( i had the 2.7 engine failure at 50K miles), so everything is working good with the new engine, except that the check engine light is on and the code is p0551 (power steering switch failure) i tought it was going to be an easy task replacing it, but turns out the dealer says they dont list the part, and that it is located on the rack & pinion, but i checked the rack & pinion and there are no electrical connections on it, does anyone knows where exactly the switch is located? or if you had the same problem and got it fixed, how much did it cost? i would appreciate any advice or orientation. Thank You .

Re: Power Steering Switch
usually the power steering switch is located behind the pump on the pressure line of the pump. If it's not there, then look all the way down the pressure line going to the rack & pinion and you should see a sensor mounted in the line.
