OBC Swicthing

Hey people!

Thanks to everyone for reading this. I was wondering if I can switch my current OBC (9 button- Temp+Clock) unit for a full OBC (milleage-gas consumption-temp-clock-18 button I believe). Would it work? Is it as easy as unplug/replug?

Thanks in advanced,

MC

Re: ODB Swicthing

Not usually an easy switch, and also depends on what model year your car is. Some features won't work or are unavailable in earlier years, and the harnesses could be different.

Re: ODB Swicthing

Sorry.. you are right Dudesky. I wasn't clear enough.

What I am thinking is to get a E36 92-98 full OBD to swtich mine, which is a 94 E36 also (german made).

Do you think it would work?? BTW, thanks for your reply.

Re: ODB Swicthing

'94 and up should work nicely. Here's a writeup for the conversion, good luck and let us know how it turns out
