Weird noises when turning

I dont own a sunfire, but my brother owns a 98 I believe. I ride to school with him every morning and we take his car. Everytime he takes a left turn you can hear this weird noise, it almost sounds like the tires are spinning, but we know for sure that isnt the case. Hes too stubborn to talk to anyone about it so i've taken the liberty of posting this here. Anyone have any idea at all what the problem could be? I know the info is a little restricted but if you have any idea please tell me.

Re: Weird noises when turning

I'll talk to him, could the low fluid actually cause the noise when turning?

yes

could also be a couple of other things

bad alignment
bad PS pump belt
bad PS pump

but start with checking the fluid and belt/pulley for visible wear
