1999 Caravan 3.3L - Stalls only when cold; code 23

Starts up fine, runs smoothly, no rough idling, and in the first mile or two on mornings when the outside temperature is below 50 degrees or so, engine just stalls. Pull over to the side of the road, wait a couple of seconds, and it starts right back up fine and runs smoothly. After driving a couple of miles, no more stalls. Have changed the crankshaft position sensor and run several takefulls of gas with gas treatment/injector cleaner through. Shows code 23 (intake air temp. sensor). The Check Engine warning light is NOT on. Any suggestions?

Power loss light: On Limp-in mode: Charge temperature of 70^F is assumed Possible Causes Charge temperature sensor failure - The sensor should measure 9,120 ohms to 10,880 ohms at 77^F. On 2.2L and 2.5L engines, this sensor is located on the intake manifold.
Bad connection or wiring - Check the wiring and connections between the sensor and the logic module (or SMEC). Clean and regrease any corroded connectors with dielectric grease.
Trigger Parameters- Sensor output less than 0.06V or greater than 4.98V , Results If Component Fails Fault code 23 is stored, the power loss light is turned on, and the logic module will enter limp-in mode, assuming a charge temperature of 70^F.

Been wrong before but I believe your temp sensor is in your intake air duct between the air filter and the intake manifold. The first sensor off the air filter is your MAF sensor. The second is the temp sensor. Easily found by looking for the electrical connectors. If I'm wrong, somebody please jump in.

After much research, including alldata and eautorepair on the web, and Haynes and Chilton in print, I cannot find any instructions anywhere on how to change this sensor on the 3.3L engine. There are only instructions for the 2.4L engine. And after a good look around the intake manifold area I do not see any sensor in that area, other than the MAP sensor, which is near the throttle body.

A couple of auto parts stores list an "air charge sensor" for sale, but I don't see it on the engine, or listed in any of the manuals for this engine.

I also did some further research on the code 23 that I am getting. I cleared all codes, and then after merely starting the engine, it gives me code 23 again, even though it did not stall out before that. I'm stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

I must apologize. The location I gave was for an explorer. My other vehicle. Sorry. I'm not sure where it is on your caravan. I did some reading and what I read was if your vehicle has a MAF sensor, the temp sensor is part of the MAF. If you have a MAP sensor then the temp sensor is a seperate sensor located in the inlet air path somewhere. Sorry again.
