Maybe im just dumb...
But i cant seem to figure out how to get my wipers off of my '97 Grand am GT.
It is like some weird joint wiper blade, with a spring in it. So the two halves of the blade can come up to a certain point. I just cant get it off the wiper arm. Is there a trick.... or am i just being to careful with my car and need to yank the thing off? I think they are stock wipers. and i need new ones badly. I have the new ones in my car.....i just cant get the old ones off. Ive tried a crapload of stuff... from pliers...to knives. If anyone can help. that would be great.

Re: Maybe im just dumb...
did you buy just the refill for the wiper or did you buy the assembly? There should be a tab right buy the pin where it connects to ther wiper arm. While pushing that tab down, wiggle the wiper assembly off the pin. Sometimes they can be a bear to get off and get hung up just before they can get fully off the pin. Patience is the key...

Re: Maybe im just dumb...
I used to have a 97' and had trouble with the same thing. The old blades are a hoke to get off. It is easier to remove the blades if you do just take the whole assembly off which jbmx4life suggested. If you look in your manual it will show you a diagram on how to remove them. If I were you I would just buy the whole new assembly's

Re: Maybe im just dumb...
If you are just replacing the blade there should be a little clip on 1 of the ends that have to be squezzed together. If they are stock it will take forever to work it out of there though.
