2004 keyless entry remote

I have a 2004 venture and am trying to program a new remote. Bought the remote and instructions on ebay. Followed the instructions to the letter. Guess what- doesn't work. Help!

Give this link a try:

If that doesn't work, let me know. I have instructions (somewhere) that include descriptions of the chimes you should here as the steps are performed.

Take Care,

Take Care,
Greg, I'm sorry but this did not work. If you have anything else I would greatly appreciate it. If it helps, when I turn my key to ACC., it chimes 5 times instead of the 2 to 4 it said in the other insructions I have besides yours. If it is a one in a million chance that there is one van that cannot be programed, I' sure that I have it! Louie.

Did the 5 chimes happen when you entered programming mode?

If so, I don't know what it is, unless it is signaling a problem somehow. If you leave the key switched on after the 5 chimes (for about a minute or so), do you hear any more chimes?

All the manuals/instructions I have seen indicate that you will hear 2, 3, or 4 chimes when entering program mode, depending on what type of BCM you have.

Maybe someone else will have some input.

Take Care,
