3000GT vs. mazda 3

I'll keep this one short and sweet.
Well i was on my way back from downtown corpus christi at about 12am where i had just scooped up our guitar player for a little band practice when............... holy batfish batman....... a new mazda 3 with a little 16 yr old behind the wheel pulls up and begins to rev at me, i rev back, light turns green and............ i sit there untill hes about 3 car lengths in front then i hit it. Blow past him shortly after i shift to second and dont let off until about half way through 3rd, which is about 90mph leaving him a good 10 car lengths back. Then i slow down and let him catch me, hes still at full throttle mind you so he catches up quick, then i hit it in third again put another 3 or 4 cars on him and hit the flashers (i know its gay but he deserved it). After that he didnt want to play anymore and probably went home and thought seriously about how he should have spent his money on a 3000GT. ..................The end.

Re: 3000GT vs. mazda 3

OOo, so lucky it wasn't me in my 6 because it would have been a pretty even race. I saw a white 3000gt SL on the highway the other day coming home from work and we paced eachother to the point where at full throttle we stayed EQUAL for a good 5 seconds.

BTW, the 3's have a turbokit from Hiboost giving them somewhere around 300HP.

Because its an even bigger waste of time to just sit there feeling all high and mighty and not do a damn thing!

I'd race em too. some guys are really nice and just wanna see a faster car in action. I do it all the time if I see a car I like that I know will smoke me.

the gas prices and the risks that are taken just to prove that an obvious faster car will beat a obvious slower car is just not worth it in my opinion............

I've never complained about gas prices, it's not like bitching is gonna change anything, but yeah I see your point.

3K, hit me up with a PM, see if we can meet up.

Re: 3000GT vs. mazda 3

Fun kill..."good kill" would be overrated. Much respect to your ride. Modded SL's are rare. My boy just lost his to a head on collision with a tree...broke both ankles and fractured both legs. What impressed me the most about the SL was the top end power. Above 80mph, it pulled A LOT harder than one would expect it to.

Re: 3000GT vs. mazda 3

Even though mazda3s aren't the fastest things out there, they are still nice little cars...they look sweet and you get a lot of substance for the money.
