The tranny will not switch from 2 to 3 gear. It has great power on 1-2 and reverse. Tranny fluid was low and smelled burned. Thoughts?

change fluid, and filter then test drive, if it works again, great, if not 2-3 clutch pack is gone, time to rebuild/replace.

Replace the clutch or the whole tranny needs to be rebuilt?
