various quirky problems 2000 Golf GLS 2.0

Hey all, much much help before, especially with my oil pan woes, thanks to all again. Moving on, I have a few problems that arent major, still annoying. Any input would be greatly appreciated. btw car is 2000 Golf 2.0 GLS 4DR

1. The hatch door won't lock. The alarm will activate and I can hear the lock in the hatch door click, like it it trying to lock, but it won't. I.E. The alarm will arm, but I can open the hatch door and the alarm *will* go off.

2. After exiting the car, I attempt to arm the alarm. The alarm arms, but the driver side door won't lock on first arm attempt. I unlock and then lock and then it works. Oh so annoying.

3. Sometimes, when trying to exit the vehicle with the lights on, the warning buzzer thing doesnt go off.

4. The light behind the A/C Controls does not work. I've taken off the know behind which the bulb is found, although, I have no idea how to get it out and replace it.

Thanks in advance.

Jon

1 & 2 may be related, a vacuum system is used to actuate the locks, there may be a leak. 3 sounds like proper operation. 4 - Use a small pliers or piece of hose to pop it out of it's socket.
