no reason to worry about vtec with that engine.
i think it might be @ 5500 rpm's either way it doent do much for you. you should be able to hear kick in?

when does it kick in for the d16z6? i thought it was 5g's i can hear a diff at high rpm's but i dont no where it starts at.
