Exclamation Hip-Hop fans

Just curious how many fans of hip-hop we got here. I like a lot of different music, pretty much everything except techno, county, and emo. Some of my favorite hip-hip groups/artists/cds are Bone Thugs, NWA, Eazy E, Mobb Deep(everything before their most recent album FUCK LITTLE JOHN!!!), The Chronic, Herbalizer, Public Enemy, Cyprus Hill, and some others just too many to post. Lets hear it. Peace-

I listen to rap/hip hop (Whatever you want to call it, not much of a difference) alot more than any other genre aside from techno. Few things I cant stand are emo and punk rock, some country to name a few..

Favorite artists right now would be T.I. and everybody in Cash Money Records really. I dont like alot of new rap, since most of it sucks except for the good beats that Dr. Dre keeps busting out and making 50 Cent rap horribly through them, so I listen to alot of older rap mainly, PBKing named most of the best ones.

I'm really looking foward to Chamillionaire's - Sound of Revenge release on October 25th. He's a great lyricist and his freestyle skills are amazing. His current song with Lil' Flip is good, but poppy, but that's what sell's so it makes since he did a few songs like that. I plan on buying the cd when it comes out. I've got to support my fellow high school alumni. Although I haven't bought Mike Jones or Paul Wall's cd's but maybe in time. Just Wall's though not Mike Jones, he annoys me now.

But I also like some of the artists you mentioned PB, also Three 6 Mafia, Too Short, Pac, UGK, just to name a few.

Re: Hip-Hop fans

i'm into the rap hip/hop scene. but to me, when you say "hip hop" i think more talib kweli, common, hi-tek, atmosphere, mos def. sort of the underground stuff, where as rap is the more mainstream stuff, like kanye and cam'ron. just my thought, either way i like it all

Re: Hip-Hop fans

well there is also a difference between "Rappers" and "MCs":

The guys on my list are MCs, or their value their lyrics over anything else and don't really care about what people think, they just want to get their message or story out to the public and make a little money......

*EDIT* add mos def to my list too...

Re: Hip-Hop fans

i like mason's list, i'd probably also jut Jay Z in there somewhere. i think it's just a given that Biggie and Pac are incorporated in almost any list of rappers or mc's

Yup.. im a Juggalo (If you dont kno thats what the fans are called)

How does ICP, make people stupid? if the guy drives across the country to goto the gathering that's his thing, but I would see why he would, because Juggalo Gathering's are the shit. Honestly though 13 year olds or is that an exhaggeration? Alot of the juggalos I know are 16 and older, so im just asking.

Re: Hip-Hop fans

i dont listen to much of the newer stuff, i think a lot of its going downhill, i dont like 50 cent at all.

but i like the older ones, a lot of tupac, not biggie. dre i like some of the D12 songs too, fav of the moment being fight music.

but loads more, not bothred to list. i listen to such a big variety in music, an people don't expect that in me.

Well in my opinion ICP's music is just garbage. Has nothing behind it but... well nothing really. I see it as something that kids use to piss off their parents, and think that they're "hardcore". About the 13 year olds, they may be older but they didn't seem it to me. I just didn't like the fact that I was being hasseled because i went to the show to see bone thugs and i didn't have one piece of "icp flare" on. Don't get me wrong I think that violent j and shaggy are absolute buisness geniuses if they can get this many people to buy into this crap, so they in essence are millionares on something that is bullshit. All the more power to them for that. Peace-
